GameStop seeks new CEO amid pivot to e-commerce, Reuters reports

GameStop is looking for a new Chief Executive to replace George Sherman as it transitions from a brick-and-mortar video game retailer to an e-commerce company, three people familiar with the matter told Reuters, Svea Herbst-Bayliss reports. GameStop's board is working with an executive headhunter on the CEO search, the sources said. Shares of GameStop are down 9% to $144.27 in afternoon trading but bounced off their lows following the report.
